British Musical Fireworks Championship 2019 return date confirmed after last year's display slammed

The British Musical Fireworks Championships returns to Southport ’s Victoria Park this September.

Following last year’s show which was ultimately abandoned after spectators were showered with debris and a tree caught fire , the show is confirmed to be returning.

The British Musical Fireworks Championships sees pyrotechnics companies from across the UK battle it out to see who is the best.

Held over three nights, the competition will run from Friday, September 27 to Sunday, September 29.

The competition sees a panel of five judges choose a winner based on synchronisation, mood and flow, patterns, colours, effects, music, timing and overall design.

Last year the organisers decided to cancel the final stage of the event due to a change in wind direction and refunded visitors.

Tickets for this year’s event are already on sale via www.universe.com and start from £5.
