A British ex-pat who went missing from his home in Spain has been found dead near a road.
Glyn Jones, 83, from Wales and who suffered from dementia, disappeared from his property in Mijas, Costa del Sol, on Sunday.
He and his wife, Barbara, had lived in the town for the last 15 years, with his spouse telling reporters he had recently started to get confused.
Glyn's body was reportedly found last night in a ravine near a road between Mijas and Fuengirola, following a four-day land and air search, according to La Opinion de Malaga.
Police, volunteers and the Emergency Group of Andalusia (GREA) searched the region in recent days in a bid to find the man.
Missing persons’ group SOS Desaparecidos said: “The search for British man Glyn Jones has been deactivated following the discovery of his body. Rest in peace.”
Glyn was described as a 'cheeky, funny and kind' man by his children, after his disappearance.
His family were at their 'wit's end with worry' after he went missing, according to a friend.
In an online appeal, Glyn's daughter wrote: "Our old dad Glyn Jones, 83 has gone missing in Mijas on Sunday...
"He has dementia and gets confused. He has a strong Welsh accent, is a bit of a cheeky old bugger and a very kind and funny man.
"His wife Babs and him have lived in Mijas Pueblo, just opposite the town hall for 15 years and are well known."
