Jonny Gray was left out of Warren Gatland's 37-man squad for the British and Irish Lions' tour of South Africa - and fans have been left stunned by his omission.
It's the second time the Scotland and Exeter Chiefs lock has been snubbed by Gatland, who also left the East Kilbride man out of the 2017 tour of New Zealand.
Eight Scots were selected as backs Chris Harris, Stewart Hogg, Ali Price, Finn Russell, Duhan Van Der Merve and forwards Zander Fagerson, Rory Sutherland and Hamish Watson got the nod.
But there was shock among rugby fans as Gray - who has excelled for club and country over the past year and guided Scotland to an historic Calcutta Cup victory over England - was left out.

It seems Chiefs team-mate Jonny Hill has gotten the nod over the former Cambuslang Rugby Club man and fans on social media aren't happy, with one labelling it "the most shocking snub" from the squad and another "a miscarriage of justice."
Here's a flavour of what fans have been saying online:
Delighted for the Scottish lads selected, but feel for Jonny Gray as he should've gone ahead of both Lawes and Hill. I feel with a number of English players they've been picked on reputation

And Jonny Gray must be wondering what more he could have done.. The man has been immense all year.

However, feel it’s going to be a bit frosty in Exeter with inexperienced Jonny Hill picked over the machine that is Jonny Gray. pic.twitter.com/X5DGPxVTU8

Surprised: Bundee Aki, Elliot Daly, Jack Conan, Johnny Hill, Courtney Lawes.

Not mad about Jack Conan, think he’s a great option. The rest? Unsure. Jonny Gray has every right to feel aggrieved. pic.twitter.com/2Tv5MSQg9P
Jonny Gray for me is the most shocking snub. While Daly and Farrell being selected is a head scrather

The fact that Jonny Gray isn’t in this #LionsRugby squad is a miscarriage of justice
— Fergus Mainland (@fergusmainland) May 6, 2021
@ross_cuffe not gonna lie, of the Scotland players I expected to make the squad, I had Jonny Gray as a certainty and never even considered Sutherland or Fagerson. Price was also a bit of a shock.

Jonny Hill in the Lions squad over Jonny Gray?
— Conor Sewell (@CCSewell) May 6, 2021
That man has been done outrageously dirty by being omitted. IMO, Gray shouldn’t just be in the squad, he should be in the starting 15.
Some big shocks in Gats Lions squad. Congratulations to the 8 @Scotlandteam players. But how Jonny Hill is in before Jonny Gray i will never know.....
