A passenger plane was forced to divert to Edinburgh Airport last night after being unable to land at its correct destination in Glasgow.
According to flight records, flight BA1478 was flying from London Heathrow, which took off at 9:03pm, was due to land in Glasgow at 10:20pm.
The plane instead touched down in the capital, around 50 miles away from the target location, Glasgow Live reports.

Data from FlightRadar24 suggests that the plane attempted to land once at the airport, but was unable to do so due to wind gusts of around 50mph that battered Glasgow and the surrounding area last night.
Pilots from two other planes were also forced to perform 'go arounds' at the airport, including a flight from La Rochelle, due to the blustery conditions.
One person tracking flight arrivals into Glasgow Airport tweeted: "3 go arounds, windy night at Glasgow airport", while another added: "Was wondering what’s going on I see BA1478 has diverted to EDI. Flew over my house really low which caught my attention."
FlightRadar24 data suggests that the Glasgow-bound plane from London Heathrow plane could have been due to travel back to Glasgow last night to complete the journey, but the flight was cancelled.
It is not known what arrangements were made to transfer the passengers to their final destination in Glasgow.
