Britain's Got Talent: The Champions daredevil stunt duo wows judges with 'terrifying' act

A daredevil duo wowed the crowds and judges in the first ever episode of Britain's Got Talent: The Champions.

The father-and-daughter stunt team, who featured on America's Got Talent series 12 and 13, took their shot as they impressed British audiences with death-defying entertainment.

During the act, host Ant McPartlin said: "There's no net or anything.

"If they fall, they fall."

He added: "That was one of the scariest things I've ever seen."

Bello, who sported odd socks and a Jedward-esque hair style, impressed the crowd with his playful yet "terrifying" moves.

The act was branded 'terrifying' (ITV)

Following their impressive display - which involved running, jumping and balancing on a the ridiculously high and aptly named wheel of death - Simon Cowell branded the pair "certifiably insane".

Simon said: "You two are certifiably insane. And I mean that as a compliment."

"Every time you do something, I genuinely think you're going to die."

Clapping he added: "So you're still alive, thank you."

Fellow judge, David Walliams, said: "Well it was absolutely horrible wasn't it.

"I could barely watch you because it was absolutely terrifying.

"Don't we have a health and safety department on this show?"

Paul Potts sings on the ITV show (ITV)

Unfortunately, Welsh opera singing sensation Paul Potts didn't make it through this time.

Paul had received a standing ovation from the judges after his mesmerising performance.

The Port Talbot star said that he only entered the first time after a coin toss, before adding: "The nerves never go away."

After he didn't get through a shocked Amanda Holden yelled out: "What about Paul Potts?"

He was beaten by Boogie Storm, Ashley and Sully and Bello and Annaliese Nock who made up the top three.

The other act to go through tonight was sand artist, Kseniya Simonova, from Ukraine's Got Talent, series one, after getting Amanda's Golden Buzzer.
