'Britain's worst house' could be yours for just £2,000 - with a lot of work needed

A house dubbed 'Britain's worst' could be yours for just £2,000 - but there's a catch.

The three-bedroom home in Bradford has been left abandoned and in a pretty horrific state.

Located on Hawkshead Drive in the city, the home has been empty for a number of months before it was placed in an online property auction and described as a "doer-upper".

The next owner should plan to inject plenty of time - and money - into renovating the house as it comes with considerable damage.

According to Pugh Auctions, the house suffers from "considerable water damage", reports Yorkshire Live.

Aside from more structural problems with the house - images of its interior show rooms littered with rubbish, pots and pans, hundreds of letters - and even clothes from a previous owner.

Walls inside the home are also plastered in damp - while the garden is heavily overgrown.

But, with the right attitude and plenty of graft, it could just make a perfect family home.

The property will go under the hammer in an auction later this month.

Would-be buyers are told: “Freehold 3 bedroom end terrace subject to a service charge in need of full refurbishment throughout.

“The property has not been lived in for several months and suffered considerable water damage.

“Located in a predominantly residential area approximately 1 mile south of Bradford City Centre.

Bradford University, The Leisure Exchange retail complex and Bradford Interchange (Bus & Rail) are all within 1 mile which connects Leeds, Huddersfield and Manchester Victoria.”

The auction ends on February 24.

Further details about the property and the sale can be found on the Pugh Auctions website.
