The classic Chocolate Digestive has been crowned king of the biscuit tin, a study has revealed.
More than two thirds of Brits said it was their teatime treat of choice with Shortbread in second place and Chocolate Fingers third.
Dunking favourites Rich Tea and Hob Nobs did not make the top 10 while chocoholics put Chocolate Hob Nobs, Jaffa Cakes and choc chip encrusted Maryland Cookies ahead of them.
According to the research, it’s the younger age group who love to dunk with 23% enjoying dipping their biscuit in a cuppa compared with just 11% of the over 60s.
Ginger Nuts were tops for the over 60s while US import Oreos were popular with 16 to 29-year-olds, the survey of 2,000 Brits by pollsters Perspectus Global found.
On average biccie-mad Brits dip into the biscuit tin for 11 treats week with Norwich named the biscuit loving capital of Britain where they munch 12.5 a week.
Posh Garibaldi scraped in at number 20 with love them-or hate them Fig Rolls also at the foot of the table.

Ellie Glason director at Perspectus Global said: “We were surprised to see just how much the nation still loves a biscuit, and especially the people of Norwich who get through a staggering 650 a year.
“It’s also interesting to see from the research that American imports such as the Oreo and Maryland Cookie have found their way into the top 20, even beating Garibaldi and Fig Rolls.
“Yet the British public clearly still hold the Chocolate Digestive close to their hearts, with the biscuit emerging as the clear winner of the poll.”
