If you've ever left your car in a car park and then come back to notice someone has parked precariously next to your vehicle, the temptation to get out some pen and paper and write a passive aggressive note may be very real.
We've all seen examples of motorists raging and writing mean notes that they may later regret, with some people even going as far as to draw diagrams of how to park properly, telling them that they must try harder next time.
And whilst it may seem like a good idea at the time, and like you're getting your point across, you're at risk of ruining someone's whole day when they see the letter.

But one driver has written "Britain's politest parking note", and people have found it adorable that they've written it in almost an apologetic tone, even referring to the request as "friendly", and finishing it off with "many, many thanks."
The message was left on a windscreen of a silver Suzuki Ignis in Bromley, south-east London, which has allegedly been parked in this spot for several weeks - and is taking up too much space.
Despite the annoyance and irritation the writer feels, the anonymous author has still been polite and neighbourly about the situation.

The note reads: "Friendly request. On-street parking in the area really is at a premium. This vehicle has taken up 1&3/4 [one and three-quarter] spaces for several weeks.
"If possible could it be parked more economically in the bay as a courtesy to other road users? It would be much appreciated.
"I apologise in advance if it is not drivable. Many, many thanks."
A local said: "These windscreen notes are usually quite passive-aggressive. But this one is different - it might be Britain's politest!"
