Britain's Got Talent viewers spot 'glaring error' on magician John Archer's lottery ticket

John Archer’s lottery numbers magic trick impressed the Britain’s Got Talent audience - but at home some viewers spotted a glaring error with his prediction.

The comic magician got the four judges and hosts Ant and Dec to pick six numbers between 1 and 59 before pulling out a lottery ticket from his wallet with the numbers on.

They chose 1, 16, 25, 26, 43 and 58.

But when the ticket was shown to the camera during the semi-final performance on Wednesday night, it seemed that John actually got one of the numbers wrong.

Where the 16 should have been, the ticket showed the number 6.

Viewers also reckon that the ticket he produced was ‘fake’ because that draw was discontinued in November 2018, so posted their findings on Twitter.

One said: “While I really enjoyed John Archer on #BGT, I noticed something wrong with his lottery ticket. The euromillions draw doesn't take place on Sundays, it should read 01 06, not 01 6, and the raffle stopped in November 2018. He is still getting my vote though.”

A second posted: “Er but he got the numbers wrong it was a 6 on his ticket not 16…”

Another added: “Bit awks when John archer gets the numbers wrong.”

While some agreed that the number was wrong, others said that it really was a 16 and that the lighting obscured the number 1 before the 6.

John said that he bought the ticket on the day of his audition in January this year - and other viewers were quick to spot that the Lotto Millionaire Raffle was discontinued in November 2018.

Despite this John entertained and impressed the audience and judges - but not quite enough to seal a place in the live finale.

Colin Thackery and comedian Kojo Anim were the successful acts that went through to Sunday’s grand final.

Britain's Got Talent semi-finals continue tonight on ITV at 7.30pm.
