Britain’s Got Talent viewers shocked as ‘sensational’ young singer not given Golden Buzzer

Britain’s Got Talent viewers were blown away by a nine-year-old singer on tonight’s episode, and are questioning why she was not given the Golden Buzzer.

Nine-year-old Immi Davies walked on stage and dazzled the judges with her rendition of ‘I Put A Spell On You’ by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins .The tiny singer impressed with her mature sound, with Simon Cowell declaring her “extraordinary”.

He said: “You’re not human”. The other judges were equally impressed, as they gave Immi a standing ovation at the end of her song.

She was given four ‘yes’’ from the judges, and will be moving on in the competition. Despite her success, viewers took to Twitter to express their disappointment that she was not given the coveted Golden Buzzer, which means the act is guaranteed a spot in the live semi-finals.

@KeiraBird8 said: “She would have been my golden buzzer!!!”. @Clairoooooooooo agreed: “ #BritainsGotTalent you're trying to tell me THAT wasn't a #goldenbuzzer

@CuddlyNikki wrote: “If anyone deserved a golden buzzer Immi did she was amazing”

The Golden Buzzer was instead given to Japanese magician and performer, Keiichi Iwasaki, by presenters Ant and Dec. He stunned the audience with his impressive magic tricks, with one viewer @MichaelGoodeve stating that Keiichi was “the best that’s been on this year so far”.

But not everyone was pleased with the Golden Buzzer choice. One user @PrincessPKaur tweeted: “Ring spin was good but a golden buzzer?!!

“Was it that good?! Preferred Immi tbh.”

@Bob71136804 agreed: “There’s no way he was better than that little girl singer.”

@Hed_F1 SAID: “Um okay so…don’t get me wrong. I was impressed by the illusions performed by this very cheerful man but I think the 9 year old girl’s performance was much more worthy of the golden buzzer as her voice was exceptional for such a young age.”

Britain’s Got Talent airs on ITV every Saturday at 8pm.
