Britain's Got Talent viewers say cameraman showed how The Haunting magic trick was done

A magic act which left Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden utterly terrified might have had its secrets revealed.

The Haunting, one of the acts in last night's semi-final, once more had poor Amanda shaking with fear as spooky magician Elizabeth contacted 'ghosts' in the bowels of the theatre.

But viewers claim to have rumbled a key part of the trick thanks to a badly-placed cameraman.

The act, which made it into the top three on Monday night, left the BGT judge so shaken she shouted 'f*ck!' on her return to the stage.

Holden, 48, screamed as she was grabbed by creepy child ghost Florence and mum Agatha smashed through a mirror before leading her back upstairs to the stage.

When they appeared on stage, Agatha had transformed into Elizabeth - and Amanda was so scared she let out a four letter expletive as she tried to work out what had happened.

But despite Amanda’s terror, viewers thing they’ve worked out how the trick was done - and are blaming a cameraman who seemed to be standing in the wrong place, exposing Elizabeth hiding round the corner as Amanda came up the stairs.

Some expressed their thoughts on Twitter, with one joking that the cameraman could be sacked.

One viewer said: "#BGT sorry Elizabeth the trick was ruined as the camera picked you up walking down the stairs as Amanda was walking up!! Poor semi final act."

A second said: "The Haunting...anyone else see the other girl coming out of the stairs to take over from “Agatha”?"

Another asked: "Did anyone else notice the woman standing on the stairs ready to swap over on the haunting act?"

A fourth said: "The haunting wasn't even real, you could see the woman change on the stairs!"

Another joked: "The haunting’s camera man after realising he’s getting sacked for exposing the act as fake at the stairs"

Dave & Finn and Flakefleet Primary School were the first acts to make it through to the Britain's Got Talent final, which takes place on Sunday from 7.30pm.

Britain's Got Talent's live semi-finals continues tonight from 7.30pm on ITV.
