Britain's Got Talent viewers fume at Amanda Holden over 'lobster' blunder

Britain's Got Talent saw some pretty weird performances this evening, from a dancing Princess Leia to dancing turtles to a dancing crab.

Kath and Joe, from Salford, have tried their hand at BGT twice before - as a singing-dancing double act, the pair get dressed up as Disney characters for all their performances.

They've previously done Beauty and the Beast, as well as Frozen, and as soon as they came on stage recognition dawned on the judges' faces.

But Amanda made a blunder that the Internet didn't take lightly.

This year, they were having a go as Ariel and Sebastian the Crab from the Little Mermaid.

Simon wasn't convinced by the act, and when he asked Amanda to explain it she called Sebastian (Joe) a "lobster."

Disney fans took to social media after the blunder.

One wrote: "Amanda thinking sebastian from the little mermaid was a lobster..."

Another shared a gif Sebastian telling Ariel: "The human world is a mess!"

David meanwhile described the act as "erotic", one fan laughing: "This sums up #BGT. Amanda: I thought he was a lobster. David: I found ir highly erotic."

The duo gave each other a hug after their performance, and earned even more support from the audience.

"Katherine, you're not a bad singer," said Simon, who'd buzzed them.

Amanda added: "Joe, your tap dancing was furious. You never stopped moving!"

David even called them "the spirit of Britain's Got Talent."

They managed to get three yeses, putting them through to next week.
