Britain's Got Talent: The Champions results revealed amid voting controversy

The first heat of Britain's Got Talent: The Champions has been won by two foreign acts amid voting controversy.

American father and daughter daredevil duo Bello and Annaliese Nock and Ukrainian sand artist Kseniya Simonova made it through to the final.

Sensational Kseniya was given Amanda Holden's golden buzzer, while the brave stunt performers earned their place by winning the vote.

This meant that firm favourite and first ever winner Paul Potts was dramatically sent packing.

However, the result of the pre-recorded show was somewhat controversially decided by the audience in Wembley arena, rather than viewers at home.

The "super fans" in the crowd picked their favourite act using their keypads after all the acts had performed.

Some angry viewers at home were annoyed that they were not able to have a say on the results.

One viewer said: "Really upset that Britain’s got talent the champions isn’t live every week and the general public get to vote for their favourite!! Terribly disappointed"

"I think it's pretty shit that it's not live and we don't get to vote what WE like," added another.

A third tweeted: "Eh so the public don’t get to vote??? Furious! May aswel not of bothered watching! I though the whole point of the show was for the public to choose their favourite acts not a few people?!"

Explaining the voting system, Dec Donnelly said: This is how it’s going to work. Each week two acts will make it to our grand final.

"One will be thanks to a golden buzzer that sends them straight through and the other will be voted for by the super fans who are behind us here in the arena."

In a shock result, Paul Potts was dumped from the champions series after the first episode.

He was beaten by dog act Ashley and Sully, dancing stormtroopers Boogie Storm and American daredevils Bello and Annaliese Nock.

There were a lot of stunned faces in the arena when Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly announced that Boogie Storm had the last place in the top three.

Speaking after their win, Bello thanked the audience for sending them through to the final.

He said: "We risk our lives for a living but this is what makes us speechless. Thank you so much

"If anyone tells you you cant have a great time with your parents look at this. This is what dreams are made of. First time in England - thank you so much."

Mortified Paul was speechless after finding out he had been beaten by some dancing Stormtroopers.

Simon Cowell's jaw dropped to the floor, while stunned Amanda Holden shouted out: "What about Paul Potts?"

Dishing out some criticism, Simon admitted that Paul was "shaky" at the start of his performance.

The judge said: "I'm going to be honest with you Paul, I thought you started shaky and then halfway through the song it took me back to your first audition which was you realising if you don't hit the big notes its over.

"And that's what happened Paul, you hit the big note when it mattered. What I admire about you is you didn't need to be here tonight and the fact that you care is why you are a champion and always will be a champion."

Britain's Got Talent: The Champions airs Saturdays on ITV at 8pm
