Britain's Got Talent star Lagi Demetriou becomes a father for the first time

Stavros Flatley star Lagi Demetriou has welcomed a baby girl with his fiancée Annika Crawford.

The Britain's Got Talent star, who first appeared on the show with his dad 13 years ago, took to Instagram to share the happy news.

Now a TikTok star, Lagi, 25, became a father on March 31 and shared a snap of his newborn baby's hand.

He captioned the selection of photos: "To another new chapter with my beautiful wife to be. I love you @neekzs."

Annika previously shared a photo of her baby bump on Instagram, writing: "Our Next chapter – Baby Demetriou."

New dad Lagi, who lives in Cyprus with Annika, said that they called their daughter Xenia.

Pals and fans rushed to congratulate the couple, who got engaged in 2020 after being together for five years.

Twist and Pulse, who won the competition in 2019, wrote: "The biggest congratulations to you all."

"Congrats to you both," former contestant Molly Rainford wrote.

Annika gushed over her husband to be last year in a sweet post, calling him "her love, her partner in crime, her best friend."

"You continue to shine every day," she wrote. "Thank you for changing our lives for the better. I am so grateful for you. Soon we officially start our life together & I am so ready to do life with you."

Lagi was just 12 when he performed the iconic Greek dance alongside his dad to the judges.

Inspired by Lord of the Dance star Michael Flatley, they wore leather trousers and blonde wigs with a black strap across their heads.

Their audition was branded one of the most iconic of all time on the show, but wasn't enough to crown them winners.

They finished third, behind Diversity and Susan Boyle.

Lagi appeared once more in 2019 on Britain's Got Talent: The Champions, before stepping away from dancing and opening a barber shop in Cyprus.

But for his dad Demi, it was impossible to drop his passion and he reformed Stavros Flatley with his nephew Samson, 19.

Speaking to MailOnline, Lagi said: "When we got to The Champions, I thought this was the right time to leave. But Simon Cowell told me not to quit forever. So I will return for some shows."

"We’ve done this for 10 years for a joke. We’ve done so many amazing things but what is there left to do? We’ve done the Royal Variety, we’ve played in China, Monaco - everywhere.

"So when we got to The Champions, I thought this was the right time to leave."
