Britain's Got Talent star Audrey Leybourne has died aged 95.
The veteran performer, who auditioned for the talent show back in 2018, died early Thursday morning. A cause of death has not yet been revealed.
Audrey's death was confirmed in a Facebook statement posted by Rev Simon Grigg, the vicar of her local church.
Simon shared a heartfelt tribute to Audrey and said she was a "remarkable person" who was "much loved" by the local community.
Alongside a picture of Audrey, the vicar wrote: "It is with deep sadness that we report the death of our much loved friend Audrey Leybourne, who died early on Thursday morning.
"She was a remarkable person, a real 'trouper' of an actress (starting her career with Sir Donald Wolfit, no less) and a much loved member of St. Paul’s."
Simon also shared Audrey's final message to her friends.
He wrote: "She has a last message for you all. When she was in hospital two weeks ago, she said to me, 'If I pop off, tell everyone I don’t regret a thing. I’ve had a wonderful life'.
"Quite a statement. Quite a lady. Quite a Christian.
"We will, of course, let everyone know when we have details of her funeral. May she rest in peace and rise in glory. Amen."
Audrey was a showbiz star and had acted in TV programmes Stella and Doctors, as well as making her appearance on the 12th series of Britain's Got Talent.
She impressed the judges with her rendition of I Wanna Be Loved By You and her cheeky personality won her the hearts of viewers.
Asked by judge Amanda Holden if she was married, Audrey replied: "No, I was in love many, many times… 22 gentleman."
Her comment saw her playfully labelled as a "minx".
Following her stint on the ITV show, Audrey appeared in a York pantomime and had a two-episode appearance on Carters Get Rich.
In her career, the performer starred as a member of dance troupe The Roly Polys, who appeared as regulars on Les Dawson’s BBC show during the 1980s.
At the age of 90, Audrey appeared in her first pantomime playing Potty T Potts in Beauty and the Beast.
