The song started with a young boy singing: " “This is an SOS from the kids.”

“All the grown-ups take note of this,” a second sang before another added: “ “We’re finding our voice, calling you out.”

As a girl sang the line: "“You can’t leave the world in fire and drought," other children joined her on stage before they all held up placards featuring endangered animals.

Tears streamed from Amanda's eyes as she listened to the song and emotions also ran high in the audience, with people overcome with emotion at the poignant lyrics.

Other lines in the song included: "“So stop hurting our planet, like you don’t care, there’s only one world for us to share.

“Don’t listen to the fat cats, they only want their cream, they always need oil for feeding their machines.”

And at one point, Amanda held her hand to her face as she became even more moved by the audition and in response to the song's final line "We can do better than this," she tearfully replied: "Yes we can."
