Britain's Got Talent's singing nurse Beth Porch releases emotional audition song in aid of NHS

Britain's Got Talent star Beth Porch has swiftly released her emotional audition song to raise money for the NHS and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

London-based nurse Beth moved judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon and millions of viewers at home with her original track You Taught Me What Love Is.

She earned a standing ovation from everyone in the theatre where she took to the stage and the 25-year-old's performance also got a huge reaction on social media.

One viewer tweeted: ""Well Beth, that couldn't be more fitting for these times! That is worthy of a No. 1 spot in the chart," and another reacted: "A perfect song on Britain’s Got Talent tonight, eerily poignant considering the auditions were filmed prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, and prior to Beth getting it herself. If it was released as a single, it would be number one guaranteed. Hats off to Beth Porch."

Well their wishes have been granted as Beth, who works in a cancer ward has now released You Taught Me What Love Is, a song all about saving lives.

All proceeds will go to the NHS and GOSH and, at the time of writing, the song was sitting at number 2 on the iTunes chart.

Beth has recently returned to work after recovering from coronavirus. Her BGT audition was filmed earlier this year, before she was struck down by the pandemic.
