Britain's Got Talent's Magical Bones praises Bruno Tonioli for 'adding something different'

Britain's Got Talent alum Magical Bones has praised new judge Bruno Tonioli for "adding something different" to the show.

The magician impressed the nation when he combined striking story-telling with jaw-dropping magic in the series.

Magical Bones, real name Richard Essien, became a finalist on the show in 2020 and went on to appear on BGT's Ultimate Magician in December 2022.

Richard has plenty of experience captivating the audience with his skills and loved watching the refreshing new season of the ITV competition.

Speaking to The Mirror, he said: "It's very good. It's gonna be good. David Walliams was really good as well.

"Bruno's gonna add something different as well. It's gonna be entertaining to see how he moves along with it."

Bruno has brought a lot of chaos to the show with his excitable personality and energy.

He replaced David after he exited BGT under a cloud of controversy last November.

Viewers have been huge fans of the former Strictly star as they watched him make his debut last week.

Britain's Got Talent only returned to our screens over the weekend and viewers already got to witness a few golden buzzer acts as well as chaotic auditions.

One group of Ugandan children impressed the judges so much that Bruno whacked the golden buzzer right in the middle of their performance.

'Fartist' Ichikawa Koikuchi stunned fans as he broke wind in order to pop balloons and put out birthday candles.

Joking about the variety of acts, Magical Bones applauded the show for its ability to bring in Britain's most unique performers.

"Definitely a great show," he continued.

"They know how to pick people that are really entertaining just so many different types of acts."

Magical Bones continued: "I mean, I never think someone would make an act out of farts but there you go."

Meanwhile, Magical Bones has been busy on his Soulful Magic tour around the country.

After a successful run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, he embarked on the ongoing tour which sees him combining powerful illusions with intense stories and amazing break-dance moves.

He will be travelling to Milton Keynes, Crewe, Weston-Super-Mare, Southend and more for his tour.

"It's been really moving to hear some of the comments and feedback I'm getting from my performances," he said.

"How inspirational it is, you know. Everyone's going through struggles and stuff in life. And, you know, some of the stories I tell and some of my experiences... as people, the feedback I get is that it's inspired."
