Britain's Got Talent's Ant McPartlin 'freaked out' as risky stunt threatens to go horribly wrong

A panicked Ant McPartlin fully admitted to being 'freaked out' as a Britain's Got Talent act attempted a very daring and very risky stunt in front of his very eyes during Saturday night's show.

Once again, Ant and co-host Dec Donnelly, have had the best view in the house this year as a whole host of hopefuls aim to follow in the footsteps of previous BGT winners like Diversity, Collabro, Jon Courtenay and last year's winner Axel Blake, by winning the ITV show and, this weekend, the presenters and millions of viewers at home got to see more acts hoping to make it through to the live rounds.

Arriving on stage right after Amanda Holden 'snubbed' a Britain's Got Talent act, by trying to end their audition before it had even started, Doncaster man Ant quickly got plenty of attention from Amanda and her colleague Bruno Tonioli for his appearance, before he explained he would be stacking chairs on stage, as Simon Cowell looked far from impressed.

However, any concerns that Ant's act would be too boring were quickly put to bed when he started to stack chairs, by balancing them on top of bottles and then started, to not only climb them, put perform gymnastics on top of the seats, as Dec told viewers: "Obviously, don't try this at home."

Ant and Dec watched on as the stack of chairs climbed higher and higher towards the ceiling of the London Palladium, with the judges looking impressed but increasingly concerned in their seat. Ant then looked horrified as another chair was hoisted up to Ant with a pole and Alesha Dixon turned away unable to watch.

Noticing the chairs looking more and more unsteady, Ant told Dec: "This is freaking me out. Look at them wobble man!" As Dec exclaimed: "What's he doing?" Ant added: "Haway man, haway!"
