Britain's Got Talent's Ant and Dec make live show 'request' after nasty fall

Ant and Dec made a 'request' to Britain's Got Talent bosses on Tuesday night, in the aftermath of Ant's nasty fall the night before.

There was a lot of excitement on Monday as, following the end of the audition rounds on Saturday, the first eight acts hoping to make it through to the final, took to the stage, hoping to impress both the judges and viewers at home. Intent on making the opening live show a real spectacle for those who tuned in, the programme opened with a group rendition of disco classic We Are Family, but what should have been a seamless start for hosts Ant and Dec, ended up being anything but as Ant hit the deck, having taken a tumble on stage.

As his legs went from under him, Ant crashed to the floor as Dec and Diversity star Ashley Banjo looked shocked. Thankfully, Ant was OK, although he admitted on Tuesday morning that is back was rather sore, as Dec wound him up in a video that the presenters shared on social media.

Ant had to be fighting fit to be back on stage for Tuesday's second Britain's Got Talent semi final, as the next batch of performers hoped to make it through to Sunday's finale and, ahead of cameras rolling, Ant and Dec took to Instagram to share a photo of themselves ready for action. And the picture came with the rather appropriate caption: "Suited, booted, extra grip requested. Ready for #BGT semi-finals day two."

It didn't take long for their followers to react to the post, with one quipping: "Make sure you’ve got non slip shoes on," with another commenting: "Steady as it goes boys don't want any injuries tonight."
