Britain's Got Talent's Amanda Holden hits back at 'baffling' Ofcom complaints

Amanda Holden has hit back at the Ofcom complaints over her outfit for Saturday's Britain's Got Talent.

Amanda wore another daring outfit on Saturday night, a purple velvet gown with a racy leg split and exposed black lace corset.

The week before Amanda wore a midnight blue dress, which featured a low cut design and another leg split.

That dress received hundreds of Ofcom complaints, as people questioned if it was a "suitable" outfit for a family show.

And after her latest outfit also received over 100 complaints Amanda took to social media to voice her outrage.

The 49-year-old took to her Instagram stories last night to share a photo of the offending outfit and she hit out in the caption.

She said: "Just to say this dress got a tiny 136 complaints out of the 896 we apparently got that night.

"Surely there are more terrible and important things to write about, do you agree?

"I'm baffled why it's still going on."

She then posted the hashtag "#sexist".

Last Thursday it was reported that this year's BGT has become the most complained about series of 2020.

The Black Lives Matter inspired performance from Diversity received more than 24,000 complaints - making it the second most complained about TV event of the decade behind Roxanne Pallett's stint on Celebrity Big Brother.

Viewers accused BGT of becoming too political when Ashley Banjo and his group of performances re-enacted some of the biggest news events of the year, including the killing of George Floyd in America and the Black Lives Matter protests the tragedy prompted.

The ITV talent show was quick to defend the routine amid the backlash and said the program had always been promoted diversity and inclusivity.
