Britain's Got Talent magician hit with fix claims as he 'saws Amanda Holden in half'

Britain's Got Talent magician Dan Rhodes was hit with fix claims on Saturday night after his incredible act.

The 15-year-old Manchester-born star asked judge Amanda Holden to join him on stage and shocked many by appearing to saw her in half.

Amanda looked as gobsmacked as everyone else as she lay on a home-made wooden surface only to see her legs float away from her body.

He then stunned the audience as he proceeded to 'magically' put Amanda's body back together again.

However, the teenage magician didn't convince everybody, as some branded the whole performance a fix, and suggesting that Amanda must have been in on it.

One wrote: "I'm sure amanda how some idea how it was done.. That box won't be as it seems. #BGT ".

As another agreed: "#bgt was an absolute fix. Just like any magic".

"A third chipped in: "Sorry theres no way Amanda hadn't been prepped for that".

Some questioned if Amanda had practiced the trick (Dymond/Thames/Syco/REX)

Despite the criticism, Rhodes was honest about the fact that his trick was nothing more than an illusion.

As he arrived on stage, he said: "Britain's Got Talent is the best show in the world in my opinion and I wanted to come on, perform my magic and try to take it to the next level."

"What you're about to see has never been seen on British television before," he adds, "What I'm about to do is a trick that I actually invented myself.

"I didn't have the budget to do an amazing illusion so I made one myself."

The majority of viewers were blown away by the performance, although some had slightly less faith moments earlier when he pulled out the saw.

"RIP Amanda," one simply wrote.

*Britain’s Got Talent continues Satudays at 8pm on ITV.
