Britain's Got Talent leaves viewers in tears after flashbacks

Britain's Got Talent fans were left in tears tonight after watching previous auditions from this year's series.

But while some of the acts had tear jerking stories, that wasn't why fans were upset.

As viewers watched the previous acts before coronavirus what struck fans was how no one had to socially distance and were able to hug each other.

And many people took to social media to say how the show was making them nostalgic for the world before Covid-19 struck.

Lula Bea said: "What’s killing me about BGT is seeing people hugging and celebrating... I cannot wait to hug again!"

Juli Watson said: " # bgt is making me really emotional purely because it’s nice to remember what life was like before the covid days, also, i missed @ antanddec on my telly x"

Helen said: "Blimey # bgt has me in tears purely because it reminds me of life before Covid."

There were five gold buzzer contestants, meaning that only 35 places remained in the live finals.

In the show the judges looked back at the acts from the pre-coronavirus auditions in a theatre and argued about who they should put through, before making some tough decisions.
