Britain's Got Talent judges left in hysterics after woman sings about her crush on Simon Cowell

Meet the 68-year-old comedian who made Simon Cowell blush on tonight's Britain's Got Talent.

Lili Davies had the whole crowd singing along to her original song she wrote in admiration of her favourite judge.

Simon appeared flattered by the lyrics, but David Walliams seemed a little bit jealous when Ms Davies, from Essex, sang: "David I like you, but I don't know what to do because my heart is not for you.

"Because I love you Simon, Simon, Simon. I want to kiss and maybe more."

David put his fingers in his ears as the audience laughed and clapped along with the chorus.

However, David warmed up to the song by the end, saying: "The good thing is, Simon, it's a song you can now sing to yourself in the mirror. It was actually a lovely song."

Of course, Simon gave the performance a standing ovation and described it as "beautiful".

He said: "We've been making this show for 14 years, we've had some outstanding moments when we've found someone truly special, or perhaps a song which is so haunting, so beautiful, that you never forget - and this is in the top three.

"I thought the song - not just the melody, the lyrics - were so beautiful, so touching."

When Ms Davies assured Alesha Dixon she would not only sing songs about her favourite judge if they put her through to the next round, Simon suggested she should stick to what she's "good at doing".

Ms Davies had a huge smile on her face and threw her hands in the air when she was given four thumbs up and could go through the the next round.

Tonight's programme was the fifth episode of the 2020 recorded auditions which also showed wartime vocal group D Day juniors and comedian Nabil Abdulrashid.

Britain’s Got Talent continues next Saturday, April 16 at 8pm on ITV1.
