Britain's Got Talent judges floored by the incredibly moving routine from magician Magical Bones

Magician Magical Bones is through to the Britain's Got Talent final after impressing the judges with his stunning performance.

The 37-year-old from London combined dance and magic to continue the story told in his first audition of Henry Box Brown, a 19th-century Virginia slave who escaped to freedom and ended up working as a magician.

Magical Bones was joined by several dancers at the start of his performance and he began with an energetic routine, which included backflips, before the performance took on a different tone.

Dressed in a smart waistcoat, trousers and bow tie, we were transported back a couple of centuries so that he could show the judges and viewers the secrets of one of Henry's illusions involving a disappearing girl and a door.

But it was the twist at the end, which saw his girlfriend, who he had been apart from for months, magically appear on stage, that left the judges - Amanda Holden, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Ashley Banjo - gobsmacked.

After giving him a standing ovation, Alesha described his storytelling as "beautiful" while Amanda said his routine had been filled with "confidence and ease".

Ashley said that Magical Bones had set the bar for the other competitors while David added: "It was one of the best magical acts I've seen in my life."

Magical Bones now joins comedian Steve Royle and dance duo Aaron and Jasmine in the final so far. Two other semi-finalists will be chosen to join them in the coming weeks.

All of the other semi-finalists - including Welsh father and son magicians James and Dylan Piper - could still be in with a chance to win the last places in the final as they are now part of a public vote.

The winners of the public vote from all the semi-finals will be announced on the day of the final, which takes place on Saturday, October 10.
