Britain's Got Talent hit with hundreds of Ofcom complaints over Amanda Holden's dress

Ofcom have received hundreds of complaints from Britain's Got Talent viewers about Amanda Holden's outfit.

Head judge Amanda wore a low cut midnight blue dress on Saturday night's show, which also had a long split on her leg.

As Ant and Dec introduced the judges on the show many viewers took to social media to predict that Ofcom would receive complaints about the dress and the organisation confirmed that they had indeed had a flurry of complaints.

An Ofcom Spokesperson said: "We had 277 complaints about Britain's Got Talent on Saturday night.

"235 of these complaints related to Amanda's dress.

"It wasn't possible to decipher what the other complaints were in relation to."

As Amanda, 49, took her seat fans took to social media in their droves to comment on her outfit.

James said: "After last week’s uproar, it’ll be interesting to see how many complaints Ofcom receives about what Amanda Holden is wearing tonight..."

Sammie said: "Um Amanda’s dress is a bit revealing for a family show???"

Chris Bent said: "Already predicting the ofcom complaints regarding Amanda's dress."

Last week Alesha Dixon caused a stir with her outfit as she wore a Black Lives Matter necklace in solidarity with her fellow judge Ashley Banjo.

Ashley performed a Black Lives Matter inspired dance with his group Diversity on the show.

The dance sparked about 24,500 complaints to Ofcom - which is almost a record for the decade.
