Britain's Got Talent finalist dead: The Pensionalities’ Henry Hall dies at 86

Britain's Got Talent star Henry Hall has died at the age of 86.

Henry reached the final of the ITV talent contest two years ago as one half of OAP singing duo The Pensionalities, alongside his friend Malcom White.

Tributes have been paid to the loveable singer after it was confirmed Henry had passed away peacefully at his home in Doncaster on 28 April.

His obituary reads: "In both life and death, Henry definitely did it 'his way!'

"He died peacefully at home, as he wished, with his family. He lived an extraordinary life and was known to a great many people as H from Cusworth’s Motorcycles and latterly half of The Pensionalities from Britain's Got Talent.

"He was loved by many, forgotten by none and will be greatly missed by all".

Mourners at Henry's funeral were asked to shun a traditional black dress code in favour of bright colours to celebrate his life.

In 2017 Henry and his friend Malcom White wowed audiences as they auditioned for Britain's Got Talent.

The lifelong pals grew up a few miles apart in the pit villages of north Doncaster.

Simon Cowell compared them to Ant and Dec as they got a standing ovation at their first audition.

After sailing through to the live shows, The Pensionalities won the public vote of their sem-final to earn them a place in the grand finale.

They pair, who had a combined age of 159, opened the show with a dazzling rendition of Frank Sinatra's When You're Smiling, with David Walliams saying:"'You've put a smile on the faces of the nation!"

Amanda Holden added: "It is proper old school entertainment, a brilliant opener!"

The duo eventually finished in fifth place in the series that was won by musician Tokio Myers
