Britain's Got Talent fans spot HUGE error as wrong act named as finalist

Britain’s Got Talent confused fans with a major blunder as they put the wrong act on the live final playbill.

At the end of Wednesday night’s semi-final, the ITV show displayed the six finalists so far but eagle-eyed viewers were quick to spot that Matt Stirling’s picture had been added to the board in place of Siobhan Phillips.

The stuntman failed to make it through on Tuesday night, after the judges opted to send Phillips, who sang about her toddler, into the final.

Fans immediately pointing out the error, posting pictures of the gaffe – although some thought it could mean he will be the wildcard act.

One wrote: “Oops, this is a mistake, where's Siobhan Phillips? #BGT.”

Another said: “Hey @BGT think you got something wrong tonight, didn't Siobhan Phillips get through and not stuntman Matt Stirling? #BGT #fail.”

“Loving this week of the #bgt semi finals . Am abit confused why is Siobhan Phillips isn’t in the finalists line up after getting through last night?! Can anyone help with my confusion?!” another post read.

Simon Cowell later clarified the situation on Britain’s Got More Talent, admitting something has gone wrong and that Phillips was still very much in Sunday night’s final.

On Wednesday night, Chelsea Pensioner Colin Thackery – who topped the public vote – and comedian Kojo went through to the final after giving it their all at the Hammersmith Apollo.

The pair join Phillips, magic act 4MG, children’s choir Flakefleet Primary School and Dave and Finn in the concluding show of the series this weekend.

Standard Online has contacted BGT for comment.

Britain’s Got Talent continues tonight at 7.30pm and 9.30pm on ITV.
