Britain's Got Talent fans in tears as boy who fled Ukraine war wows in dance act

Britain's Got Talent fans were left in tears this evening as a young boy who fled the war in Ukraine wowed on the show tonight.

The young boy and his friends - who form dance act United 2 Dance - were surprised by new judge Bruno Tonioli at Madame Tussauds in London. They had thought they were visiting his waxwork but were left shocked when he jumped up from the throne and surprised them with an audition at the London Palladium later on in the day.

They couldn't believe he was real, and were even more stunned when he revealed that it was the young boy's mum who had nominated them to go on the show because of the support they'd shown them both since they arrived in the UK.

Teary, the mum said: "I can't thank United 2 Dance enough for everything they had done for my family and for my son. Since we arrived here, they supported us, they organised a fundraiser, they gave him clothes to dance in.

"No words will say how grateful we are to United 2 Dance for changing our lives." It was then to Bruno to reveal that they had saved them a slot on the Britain's Got Talent stage for them to audition for the show.

When they arrived at the Palladium, and were escorted onto stage, it was clearly very emotional for all. The audience was also teary-eyed as the young boy explained how he had been welcomed by the dance troupe since arriving from Ukraine.

Taking to the stage, the group wowed with their Latin and ballroom routine to Blinding Lights by The Weeknd.

Dressed in white shirts, black trousers and black bowties, the boys lead strongly whilst the girls wowed in gold dresses. Their performance secured them four yeses and huge cheers from the crowds in the audience.

Viewers at home also loved the routine and took to social media to praise the group's routine.

"Lovely to see a Ukraine act a few days before Liverpool host Eurovision on behalf of Ukraine. #BGT #Eurovision," one wrote, as a second added: "Best performance I’ve seen tonight so far and they are great at dancing."

A third shared: "The ballroom dancers are amazing, bless the little boy from Ukrain can’t imagine the trauma him and his family’s been through because of some greedy old man it’s making me emotional seeing him living his best life #BGT.
