Britain's Got Talent fans in tears after Simon Cowell halts young girl and mum's performance

Britain's Got Talent viewers were in tears after Simon Cowell halted a mum and daughter's performance.

Honey and Sammy, aged 14 and 43 from Essex, pulled at the heartstrings as they opened up about their life.

The teenager revealed she came on the show with her mum, she said: "In the last two years my mum got diagnosed with cancer, and it's been like a tough couple of years and to be here with my mum is the best things that's ever happened to me.

"I'm just so grateful for everything that's happening, I never thought when me and my mum were singing in the car we'd ever come on a stage."

But as they started singing, Simon halted their performance.

He explained that whilst they sounded good together, the song wasn't working for them.

Simon asked them to go backstage, learn another song and then come back.

Luckily, on their second attempt, singing Freya Riding's Lost Without You, they stole the show with their vocals.

They received four 'yes' votes and Amanda Holden gave the pair her golden buzzer.

Viewers were in tears over the whole situation.

Matt tweeted: "Well there I go again the # floodgates of my tears overtook me again, that was beautiful just beautiful mum and daughter singing on # BGT ."

Leanne said: "In tears over @ BGT already, LOVED the Mother and Daughter melted me."

And Graham said: "Amanda Holden’s golden buzzer act has me in tears. What a beautiful mother and daughter. Beautiful song choice and beautiful voices."
