Britain's Got Talent fans complain minutes into final as they call for judges to be replaced

Britain's Got Talent fans complained moments into tonight's final as they fumed over the wildcard choice.

The show aired its final on ITV1 and ITVX this evening, with the power out of the judges' hands. Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and former Strictly star Bruno Tonioli had no say tonight, with the sole vote going to members of the public.

As the show kicked off tonight, with 11 acts - including a wildcard - fans took to Twitter to vent their feelings over the finalists and made sure their viewers were heard on social media.

One viewer wrote: "Wtf is that wildcard!? MB14 got screwed #bgt #BritainsGotTalent," as a second added: "Sorry but the Judges Wild Card is that fool Tonikaku not MB14. These judges need replacing #BGT #BritainsGotTalent."

Tonikaku won over fans - and is the wildcard (ITV)

"are you kidding me?? they’ve missed putting someone with actual talent through as the wild card for a man in his pants?! #BGT," a third shared, with a fourth writing: "I CAN'T BELIEVE THE #BritainsGotTalent WILDCARD!! PATHETIC!!"

A fifth penned: "Wow I’m annoyed I have to go through more painful “don’t worry I’m wearing” #BritainsGotTalent."

It's been a huge series for Britain's Got Talent, with one set to be crowned the winner later this month. It marks Bruno's first year on the panel after he took over from David Walliams as the fourth judge.

However, his arrival wasn't without a few issues - as he made a huge error on his first day and swore on live TV in the semi-finals. Speaking about his first day blunder, Bruno said previously: "I told Simon, I never watched the show before. But I never watch anything I’m in, I never even watched Strictly or Dancing With the Stars.

Bruno famously pressed his golden buzzer at the wrong time (ITV)

"I want to feel free to give it my own personal spin, not copy what someone before me has done, if that makes sense."

Bruno explained that even though he was given some instructions about how the show works, he still go carried away in the moment and pressed his Golden Buzzer when he shouldn't have done.

"Alesha gave me a brief, but then I forgot everything she told me! I think that was obvious when I pressed my golden buzzer at the wrong time on the first day! They were like, 'here are the rules, you press it then, not then', but that went out the window, I honestly got caught up in the moment, forgot everything I’d been told and just reacted instinctively," he said.

Luckily, his error was well received by the other judges and boss Simon - and they all went on to break the rules throughout the series.
