Britain's Got Talent Australian comedy stars shock as they ridicule Prince Philip car smash

Britain's Got Talent: The Champions' twin brothers and comedy duo are set to grace our screens this weekend - and the Aussie twins will ridicule none other than Prince Philip.

The Nelson Twins - Chris and Justin - made it to the Australia's Got Talent final in 2012, and the bearded funnymen will be hoping to strike a chord on the UK stage as well.

The Royal Family are in their firing line as they laugh about Princes William and Harry "sponging" off granny.

The most controversial joke followed a story about how the twins share a driving licence after one of them flipped their car - and they call it "the Prince Philip."

The Duke of Edinburgh, 98, suffered a crash in January this year whilst driving near the royal estate at Sandringham. He collided with another car that he reportedly didn't see because of the sunlight, and his own car flipped over.

The joke went down very well with the audience, with a roar of laughter rising from the pews.

The contest pits champions from all the world's Got Talent shows against each other, so The Nelson Twins will have a mighty contest on their hands if they want to be crowned the ultimate.

The UK is represented by it's first ever champion Paul Potts, Ashleigh Butler and her new pooch Sully, and dancers Boogie Storm.

Ashleigh opened up to the audience and the judges about the loss of Pudsey, the dog who she originally performed with back in 2012.

The show hits screens this Saturday at 8pm on ITV.

Judges Simon Cowell , Amanda Holden , David Walliams and Alesha Dixon all return, as well as presenting duo and national treasures Ant and Dec.

BGT: The Champions marks the first screen reappearance of Ant McPartlin since his rehabilitation for alcohol abuse and an addiction to prescription painkillers.

Last year, he missed out on presenting I'm A Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here alongside best mate Dec. This Morning's Holly Willoughby filled in for him.
