Britain's Got Talent audience heard booing as Ant and Dec announce winner

Viggo Venn's victory on Britain's Got Talent was met with boos from the audience after he scooped the £250,000 prize and a spot on the bill at the Royal Variety Performance.

The Norwegian comedian kept the Britain's Got Talent judges entertained with another high-vis inspired routine in the grand final.

The 33-year-old had the panel laughing when he forced judge Simon Cowell to wear a matching high-vis jacket as rose petals were thrown over the pair before the whole audience erupted into high-vis.

Alesha Dixon said: "You've captivated the nation, they love you," while Bruno Tonioli said: "I think your physical comedy is world-class, you have created one of the most memorable characters since Mr Bean."

Meanwhile, Simon said: "At least you didn't make me look stupid tonight. I have never ever met an act like you in my life, I will admit it, I really really love you now."

Viggo was up against Lilliana Clifton who commanded the Britain's Got Talent stage with her emotional and dramatic dance routine to Eurovision winner Loreen's Tattoo.

But upon it being announced that Viggo was the winner, boos were heard from the crowd. Reacting on Twitter, one user @liv_liv_liv said: "The audience booing need to get a grip man, you’ve gone to watch a show that clearly ends with a winner - shut up!"

@lizajane99 said: "Am I hearing a LOT of booing from the audience with that winner????" Jess Foxley added: "People booing and people moaning. The public vote at the end of the day. I love him, didn't think he'd win and I'm shocked but I'm not moaning!"

And @YoursChloex said: "The audience booing Viggo Venn after his win really isn’t fair. He won the vote fair and square, even if you don’t agree with the result it’s not fair to ruin his moment."
