Britain's Got Talent and Loose Women spark most Ofcom complaints in this week's rundown

Britain's Got Talent and Loose Women were the two shows that topped the figures of Ofcom complaints for this week.

The two ITV shows have sparked controversy of late, and were shortly followed by ITV's This Morning.

In the week between Tuesday 29 September to Monday 5 October, Britain's Got Talent received a whopping 1,000 complaints, almost four times the second ranking.

Loose Women came in second with 261 complaints, mostly due to the panelists comments on Chrissy Teigen's baby loss photographs.

This Morning sparked 132 complaints after travel expert Simon Calder dished out dodgy advice including to staycation in Wales as coronavirus cases rise again.

ITV drama Honour about the so-called honour killing of Banaz Mahmod by her family garnered 101 complaints, while Sky Sports' Premier League Live sparked 69.

Good Morning Britain is known for riling up some members of the public particularly with host Piers Morgan's fiery rants.

But the show only received 95 complaints last week, preceded by Sky Sports' Premier League Live sparked 69.

Channel 4's The Great British Bake Off received 16 complaints, as did ITV's IRL with Team Charlene.

ITV's The Savoy sparked ten complaints as did the same channel's Lorraine show.

Good Morning Britain won the title of the most complained about TV show throughout the lockdown period, accounting for 40% of all television show complaints during lockdown, according to the  Buzz Bingo  report.

Meanwhile, the BBC received 870 complaints to Ofcom after social affairs correspondent Fiona Lamdin, who is white, said a racial slur during a report on a hate crime.

Sky News received 1,522 complaints, while This Morning received 1,373 during the lockdown period.

Diversity's Black Lives Matter routine triggered more than 24,000 complaints (ITV)

But the most complained about TV moment of the decade goes to Diversity's Black Lives Matter inspired performance on Britain's Got Talent last month.

Diversity's routine - which racked up more than 24,000 complaints - saw the group reenact the death of George Floyd in police custody earlier this year.

Britain's Got Talent has received a total of 27,898 official Ofcom complaints this year including 700 over comedian Nabil Abdulrashid's routine and 235 viewers moaning about Amanda Holden's lacy gown with a thigh split.
