Britain's Got Talent act breaks Guinness World Record balancing 11 chairs on his CHIN

A performer managed to break a Guinness World Record on Britain's Got Talent after he challenged himself to balance 11 chairs on his chin.

Full-time magician and juggler Jay Rawling, 25, took to the stage on Saturday night's show to explain how he was going to complete the dangerous stunt.

Initially the record only needed to be broken with six chairs, but a man in the US upped it to nine, with Jay confidently sharing he "wanted to bring it back to the UK".

Cheered on by judge David Walliams and helped to set up by his dad Steve, Jay swiftly stacked 11 chairs comfortably on his chin.

A Guinness World Record adjudicator was brought on to the stage by Jay, who explained what the performer would have to do.

“This is a Guinness World Record attempt for most chairs balanced on the chin. In order to qualify for this record each of the chairs has to be commercially available and a full-size adult chair.

"Once they are placed they must remain balanced on the chin with no touching for a minimum of ten seconds. The time will begin when Jay removes his hands from the chairs. If he touches the chairs the time will stop and restart when his hands come off.

"And finally if the chairs fall or fails to keep the balanced for ten seconds then the attempt will be disqualified."

All 11 chairs were carefully assembled into a structure by Jay and Steve before he was ready.

Watched on by a tense Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell, Jay shouted he was ready.

Placing the chairs on his chin Jay had to balance them for ten seconds which he did and received a standing ovation from the entire theatre.

Ant and Dec brought on Jay's certificate to prove he had achieved record status and he was given four yeses by the judges.

An impressed Simon added: "There was a danger element we haven't seen before!"

Britain's Got Talent continues on ITV next Saturday.
