Britain's Got Talent 2019: Mark McMullan joins Ben Hart in the final after Simon Cowell calls on public vote

Ben Hart and Mark McMullan became the next two acts to make it through to the Britain's Got Talent live final.

Hart became the second magic act to top the public vote, after 4MG wowed on Tuesday night. He was shocked and stunned into silence when his name was read out.

"It's amazing for me [that the public like magic]," he later told Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

The judges then picked to progress to Sunday night's showdown, with David Walliams picking first to allow Simon Cowell the final say.

Cowell explained he was "surprised" to see entertainer Graeme Matthews in the top two but decided to send the final decision to the public vote, with McMullan had won.

The singer said: "As I've said from the start of every performance, I wouldn't be here without everyone who has supported me, Thank you for getting behind me."

Earlier in the show, Cowell walked off stage during Jimmy Tamley's act after the performer grabbed his leg to try get him to do the can-can.

An unhappy looking Cowell removed his ventriloquist mask before heading for the stage exit. He later returned to finish the act but still looked uncomfortable.

The moment divided viewers with some calling Cowell "rude" while others stuck up for him and his decision.

Britain's Got Talent continues tomorrow at 7.30pm and 9.30pm on ITV.
