Britain's Best Home Cook returns for third series and Mary Berry needs talented Nottingham chefs

Are you always coming up with new ways to get your kids to eat vegetables? Do you like creating modern twists on classic recipes?

If you fancy yourself as a dab hand in the kitchen, you could take the nation by storm on Britain's Best Home Cook.

Whether your go-to dish is spaghetti bolognese or steak and ale pie or something else, the third series of the BBC show could be a great place for you to show off your skills.

Mary Berry, Claudia Winkleman and Chris Bavin are all returning to our screens with the new series of the cooking show.

Applicants need to be passionate and talented cooks who love nothing more than spending time in kitchen creating dishes.

Over eight episodes, the ten food lovers will have to demonstrate skill and individual flair in a high pressure situation.

A spokesperson for the show said: "The contestants will be asked to serve the most perfect version of dishes that define modern home cooking as well as create their special take on well-loved classics."

If you think you've got what it takes to impress the judges, you can apply here.

The deadline for applications is Thursday October 31 and auditions will be held during November.
