The ten best fish and chip shops in the UK are handing free fish suppers to the first customers through their doors on Friday, 17 January.
With finalists based across the whole of the UK - from Aberdeenshire to Devon - the giveaway comes a week before the official "Fish and Chip Shop of the Year" is announced by industry body Seafish.
Seafish chief executive Marcus Coleman said: “Being shortlisted as a finalist for the flagship award is a phenomenal achievement and we hope people will head along on Friday to cheer on their local shop and enjoy some free fish and chips!
"Everyone in the final truly deserves their spot and we wish them all the best of luck next week.”
But you'll need to be quick, because there are only 20 free portions per chippie available.
