A British teenager who went missing outside her Majorcan school has been found safe and well, her relieved mum has confirmed.
Taya O’Louglin, 14, sparked a major police search after she vanished on Tuesday morning.
Mum Danielle Kennedy confirmed today she had been reunited with her daughter on Thursday night.
Police launching a huge manhunt on the Balearic island this week as Taya's family desperately tried to locate her.
Danielle said: “Taya was found safe and well yesterday evening after presenting herself at a place of safety.
“Her family request privacy at this time, but would like to thank family, friends and strangers who assisted in her safe return.
“We have no further comment to make other than to note she is well.”
Expat Danielle added: “We would like to reiterate that Majorca is a safe and beautiful island for both residents and visitors.”
The last sighting of Taya was said to have been outside Ramon Llull secondary school, in the Spanish island of Majorca's capital Palma at around 8am on Tuesday.
Her mum reported her missing to police at 3pm the same day.
The UK's Foreign Office said it was "extremely" concerned about the schoolgirl's disappearance.
She was last seen wearing carrying a white backpack with flowers on it and local reports said she disappeared at the same time as a Spanish friend.
Before her daughter was found, Danielle told The Sun : “I have no idea where she is and this is just not like her - she has gone missing.
“Taya has never done anything like this before.”
