A couple who live 5,000 miles apart are getting married - despite having only met each other three times in person.
Brit Phil Watson met American Kristen Rosales on the online live streaming service Twitch and proposed to her on their third date.
The pair bonded over their shared love of the popular video game Minecraft, with Mr Watson asking 32-year-old Ms Rosales to be his girlfriend in 2016.
As their relationship developed, they would send each other t-shirts to smell - and then wear the tops for three days straight, Ms Rosales said.
The customer service adviser told The Sun : "It was kind of weird at first.
"The more I got to talk to Phil, the more I looked forward to seeing him online.
"I'd feel sad if he wasn't streaming or he wasn't able to talk with me. I was thinking, 'Why am I feeling like this, why am I so sad?'"
Ms Rosales said her family and friends were initially sceptical about her new partner because they had never met.
However, after a few months the pair arranged their first meeting, with Mr Watson flying out to the US for his girlfriend's birthday.
The couple sent nine days together before Mr Watson flew home, leaving Ms Rosales determined to visit him next.
Their romance blossomed after she came to London and Mr Watson embarked on another trip to Los Angeles.
On their third date, he surprised his girlfriend by proposing to her on a ferris wheel.
A jubilant Ms Rosales said yes and the couple are now hoping to get married next year.
