Brit killed in paragliding tragedy in Spain

  • A 63-year-old British man has died following a paragliding accident in Palau de Noguera, a village located in Catalonia’s Lleida province, Spain .
  • Emergency services, including three fire brigades, were activated at 1.20pm after reports of the accident, initiating a search in the Tremp and Sort parks.
  • The man was found seriously injured, and fire services provided initial medical care until two Medical Emergency System teams arrived on the scene.
  • Despite the efforts of the emergency responders, the man tragically lost his life due to the injuries sustained in the accident.
  • Catalonia’s autonomous police force, the Mossos d'Esquadra, are investigating the incident, and the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) is supporting the man's family.
