Brit holidaymaker fighting for life after falling from Ibiza hotel balcony

A British holidaymaker is in a critical condition in intensive care after plunging from the third floor of a hotel in Ibiza.

The 22-year-old man suffered severe head injuries as well as a fractured spine.

He plunged from a hotel named locally as Hotel Mare Nostrum in the popular holiday resort of Playa d’en Bossa.

The incident happened at around 11.30pm on Tuesday.

He is understood to have been taken to a private hospital in Ibiza called the Policlinica Nuestra Señora del Rosario.

Police on the island said they were aware of the incident and are investigating it.

The 22-year-old is said to have plunged from the third floor (SOLARPIX.COM)

Officers were not immediately able to confirm his nationality, although local media are describing him as British and hospital sources confirmed the injured man was British.

The source said: "He is in a critical condition in intensive care.

"He has head injuries and several fractures.”

The Playasol Mare Nostrum Hotel in Ibiza is an all-inclusive hotel, 100 yards from Playa d’en Bossa beach.

It is described on travel sites as a budget hotel with a swimming pool, fitness centre and children’s pool.

No-one from the hotel was immediately available for comment.
