Brit Awards: Anne Marie's update after that fall and cheeky tweet

There was plenty to talk about during the Brit Awards on Tuesday, February 8.

And Twitter certainly came to life after singer Anne Marie took a tumble on stage.

In good spirits, she soon took to social media to update fans.

The pop singer made an entrance from inside a giant heart on stage at the Brit Awards.

She then had to navigate a small staircase while wearing huge boots. Taking a tumble as she made her way down the steps she quickly got herself up and carried on.

Following her performance Anne-Marie posted on Twitter: "Didn't need my left ankle anyway."

Twitter's reaction was instant.

One fan replied: "LMAO you style it out well bestie".

A second wrote: "You handled that like a queen".

While another joked: "Anne Marie is us all on those Wetherspoons stairs back from the toilet".

Another posted a picture of Madonna's fall with the words "Don't worry Anne-Marie it could be worse #BRITs"

The post referring to pop star Madonna's 2015 Brit Awards performance during which she fell off the stage

But it wasn't just fan's who got in on the act. Well known opticians Specsavers got in on the banter.

Replying to the singer's original post they wrote: "Your next visit's on us x".

Anne-Marie replied: "I'll be in touch".
