Brit Awards 2023: Maya Jama stuns in black and gold dress in red carpet appearance

TV presenter Maya Jama has arrived at the BRIT Awards 2023 as stars arrive on the red carpet in London. The 43rd edition of the UK music ceremony is taking place at the O2 Arena this evening (February 11).

Bristol-born Maya, 28, has taken time out of her busy schedule to attend this year's BRITS, looking stunning on the red carpet in a black and gold dress. The star is currently jetting back and forth from South Africa to host the current season of ITV's Love Island.

Maya posted a video of herself getting ready on her Instagram story this afternoon. She was among several other notable figures to arrive promptly on the red carpet, including Amelia Dimoldenberg, Clara Amfo, Roman Kemp and Michelle Visage.

At last year's BRIT Awards, Maya Jama made headlines after shutting down a question on live television about the 'rock' on her finger when asked by presenter Mo Gilligan. The Love Island host has since separated from NBA star Ben Simmons.

The star has recently arrived back in the UK after a trip to Dubai after sharing a series of cryptic posts released to her 2.6 million Instagram followers said: "Me and the girlies are off. I had about four days off and I thought, 'F*** it, let's go on holiday."

The BRIT Awards 2023 nominees include Harry Styles and indie rock duo Wet Leg, who are the frontrunners this year after securing four nominations apiece. Both acts secured two Grammy wins each last week in LA. Both artists are set to perform tonight as well as Stormzy, Lizzo, Cat Burns and Sam Smith & Kim Petras at the O2 Arena in the capital.

Coverage of the stars storming the red carpet begins at 7.30pm on ITV2 with the awards show broadcast live from ITV1 at 8.30pm, hosted by Mo Gilligan. You can follow our live blog of the awards ceremony here.
