Brit arrested in Magaluf 'for attacking ambulance workers who tried to help him'

A British tourist has been arrested in Magaluf for attacking ambulance workers who tried to treat his wounds, according to reports.

The 23-year-old man was bleeding in the street when medics tried to help him. But things turned ugly and the emergency first aiders called for police back up when he allegedly attempted to assault them.

He is believed to have suffered cuts by breaking a shop window in the party resort.

The man was reportedly responsible for a second attack on an ambulance worker moments later.

Local reports said he tried to punch a man tending to his wounds as police headed to the scene and had persuaded him to get into the back of the ambulance.

He was held by local police and the Civil Guard after knocking the worker to the ground and fleeing the scene.

The incident happened around 5.30am this morning.
