Topping the list of most singleton's New Year Resolutions is to find love in 2020.
But there's bad news for daters in our city.
New research carried out by app Plusnet found Bristolians had the least attractive accents in the UK.
While researchers found the sexiest accents were Cockneys, closely followed by Scottish and Irish.
Notable Bristolians include Russell Howard and Stephen Merchant.
During the 1,000-strong study, experts also uncovered younger singletons were willing to fork out a whopping £68 per date.
This compares to their older counterparts who admit to paying just £10. And as a nation we're averaging an impressive four dates a month
Speaking on the results, Chris Cotterill, head of marketing at Plusnet, said: “With the internet now such an integral part of our dating lives and romance being revolutionised by online apps, we wanted to take a closer look at how the nation's daters are using technology to find love. "
