Bristol weather: When Met Office forecasts 13 hours of rain will hit city

Over the past couple of weeks, we have had fairly good weather and, despite temperatures dropping, we have still being able to enjoy the sunshine and dry weather.

However, this is set to change according to the Met Office forecast.

A long spell of rain is on its way to Bristol according to the forecasting service.

The Met Office says it will start to rain tomorrow (September 30) at 8am and it will not stop until 9pm.

The South West forecast for Wednesday states: "Wet and cloudy from early on as the band of showery rain advances eastwards before clearing mid-afternoon, leaving sunny spells and scattered showers, some heavy and thundery.

According to the Met Office, the rain is going to be at its heaviest from 11am to 5pm on Wednesday.

There are going to be sunny spells and locally heavy showers, perhaps with thunder, on Thursday and Friday morning.

Friday afternoon sees heavy rain and strong winds, this continuing for many through Saturday.
