Bristol weather: When it will be sunny again according to Met Office

This week the wet and cold weather has returned to Bristol and you may be wondering when the sun will make a return?

The good news is that sunny and slightly warmer weather will make a welcome return sooner rather than later.

The sun will pop out from behind the clouds tomorrow (Friday May 1) and is expected to continue for the next few days.

Today's weather

Another unsettled today of weather today, with scattered and blustery showers and at times some of these showers could be heavy and thundery.

Although today will be slightly warmer than yesterday, the showers will tend to be more scattered and heavy when they fall.

Highs this morning of around 9C with heavy and persistent showers expected during the earlier part of the morning.

Into this afternoon, showers will continue across the city but the chances of these hitting and the severity of them will decrease as the afternoon goes on.

It will remain chilly today, with highs of only 11C, a drastic drop from the barmy temperatures recorded last week.

Into this evening and overnight, showers will be clearing as cloud rolls in with temperatures not dropping much to lows of only 9C throughout the night.

Tomorrow's weather

The sunny weather is set to make a welcome return tomorrow as the month of May kicks off.

It is looking much drier across the South West and Bristol with spells of sunshine and the occasional heavy shower.

It will still be breezy but feeling much warmer than today.

Maximum temperatures during mid afternoon will be around 15C.

Weekend weaher

The odd shower to start on Saturday, otherwise fine and dry.

Becoming cloudy on Sunday with outbreaks of rain as the sun is expected to disappear again.

A damp and murky start is expected into the beginning of next week on Monday but turning drier and brighter later.
