Bristol weather: Wet and windy conditions forecast for this week

Those of us in Bristol should expect some more wet and windy weather this week, the Met Office has said.

Forecasters say today (Tuesday, August 17) will be a largely fine and bright day but warned there is some potential for heavy and thundery showers.

The weather will continue to be turbulent later in the week, with downpours predicted for both Wednesday and Friday.

The Met Office forecast for today says: "A largely fine and bright day, though the potential for some heavy and thundery showers to form through the day remains, especially inland.

"Feeling warm during any sunny spells. Maximum temperature 23C."

The outlook for the rest of the week then states: "Wednesday turns wet and windy for all. Thursday should be drier and breezy, with only a few showers and some sunshine.
