Bristol weather: Light showers today but thunderstorms tomorrow

You might wish to make the most of your morning today (June 23) as showers could fall in the afternoon - followed by thunderstorms tomorrow and on Tuesday.

The Met Office predicts a cloudy morning, with temperatures between 14 - 20 degrees until noon and only a 10 per cent chance of rain.

By 1pm, the temperature could hit 21 degrees - perhaps remaining at that level until 4pm.

However, light rain is forecast between 4pm - 6pm or so.

The evening looks like it will be dry, though, with the temperature hovering around 20 degrees right up until 1am tomorrow.

But that's when the good news stops - as a yellow warning for thunderstorms is in place for tomorrow and Tuesday.

The worst looks like it will hit tomorrow morning, but the warning runs up until 11.50pm on Tuesday.

As for the rest of the UK today, the showers hitting the South West are predicted to move north across western and central parts during the day. Elsewhere, though, it should be dry and bright.
